April June 1947 – 17 April 1947 Betty Knout or Knouth, a female Irgun operative went from Britain on a ferry to Belgium, There she met up with Jaakov Elias, another Irgun operative. On 2 June 1947 Belgiun police alerted by M15 detained Knout and Elias while they were trying to move from Belgium into France.
